Hundreds of job opportunities on offer at North Tyneside recruitment events

North Tyneside’s Working Well Hub is running a series of dedicated recruitment events across June to support residents into employment and training.

Job vacancies, training opportunities and wider support will be on offer at the events, and it’s all designed to offer the support anyone might need to find a fulfilling career.

There are hundreds of fantastic careers up for grabs in North Tyneside and the specialist events allow employers to showcase their vacancies and residents to see first-hand the roles available to them.

The month of events will kickstart with a dedicated day for contact centre and customer service roles and following events will cover Health and Social Care and the Hospitality industry:

  • Contact Centre and Customer Service event: Friday 2 June between 10am and 1pm. Book here.
  • Hospitality event: Friday 9 June between 10am and 1pm. Book here.
  • Health and Social Care event: Friday 16 June between 10am and 1pm. Book here.  

From first steps into a new career to opportunities to develop existing skills, those interested in a career in any of these sectors is encouraged to head along to access the dedicated support.  

Cllr Steven Phillips, Cabinet Member for Education, Inclusion, Employment and Skills at North Tyneside Council, said: “North Tyneside is a fantastic place to live and work and organisations across the borough have a brilliant range of jobs on offer in some extremely rewarding sectors like social care and customer service.

“We’ve seen already how successful the Working Well hub has been to support our residents into employment by tackling any barriers they may face, and while these events are showcasing job vacancies, they’re also a great opportunity to see the brilliant support you can access there.

“I’d encourage anyone who’s considering a career in these sectors to head along to the open days and speak with our specialist team and the recruiting organisations to see what’s out there for you. Your next rewarding job could be just around the corner.”

Based in the Beacon Centre in North Shields, the Working Well employment, skills and health hub is home to a range of organisations including North Tyneside Council’s Employment and Skills team, the NHS, Department of Work and Pensions, and the community and voluntary sector.
