Exclusive Interview with Community Champion Dr Shobha Srivastava MBE
On Sunday 20th August, Radio Shields reporter Grace Laidler had the opportunity to interview Dr Shobha Srivastava MBE at the South Shields Mela.
An icon of the region, Dr Srivastava told us about her extensive work for the South Tyneside District Hospital, the women’s charity Apna Ghar and the Bollywood dance classes at Hindu Nari Sangh.
She received an MBE in 2017 for her work championing healthcare in South Tyneside, alongside her wider community service.
